"Tour Austin & Hill Country in 90 Minutes"

By The Way....
 By D.H. - October 11, 2011

The tour was great. It was made even better by our driver/guide Chris. It will be our recommendation to everyone visiting Austin to take your 90 minute tour. They should pick out their points of interest during the tour and then go exploring afterwards. Our next day trip will be going to the State Capitol building and the nearby Bob Bullock Texas History Museum.

Best Tour EVER!!!

We did a 90 minute tour with "Austin Overtures." Dow was our fabulous tour guide and he is a 4th generation Texan! He showed us about 50 points of interest around town! You ride 30 miles into Hill Country where you see many gorgeous vistas and lakes. All of this for $25 in air conditioned Mercedes-Benz comfort! We learned so much history. I HIGHLY recommend this! Ooooh, I will be back to see more of magical Austin!

Austin Overtures Was Perfect...
 By Bess R. - May 4, 2011

Only in Austin for a few hours, and we wanted an easy way to learn about the city. Austin Overtures tour was perfect! We got to be lazy and carted around in an A/C van while our driver took us all around the city and hill country. She was great...but I forgot her name, sorry! Very welcoming and knowledgeable. The tours are 90 min and you see everything. Definitely worth the 25 bucks a person.....

Took the 90 Minute Tour and Loved it...
 By Mike.R - Nov 9, 2010

A few months ago, my girlfriend and I headed down to Austin and took the 90-minute van tour and loved it--we saw so much more of the city than we would have if we had just wandered around town, and it helped us explore to find the the best things to do and the best food with the rest of our stay. Our guide, Chris, was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us invaluable info.

We enjoyed Austin so much that I'm bringing my brother and a group of guys down to the city from DC for a weekend bachelor party.

Excellent Value - Great way to see Austin...

I have been living in Austin for almost 4 years, a transplant from NJ. We have lots of visitors and this is the second time I have taken out-of-towners on this tour in less than 2 months. Sans having a private tour, this is the most comprehensive overview of Austin that I have seen in just 90 minutes. Our first tour guide was Rocky -- he was pleasant, thorough, and a safe driver. On the second trip we had Maggie, a TX history fanatic with an incredible knowledge of Austin. I will request her for all of my future tours (she currently works Thursday and Fridays).
This is, by far, the best bang for your buck if you only have a short time to see Austin and need a good overview of the city and its surrounds.

This 90-minute tour of the city takes you to the south and west sides of town and through the heart of central Austin. You can check departure times (there are a couple per day), make reservations, and buy tickets at the visitor center. Or you can make a reservation on the company's website. This tour is a little lighter on the comedy than the Duck tours, it covers more ground, and it gives more history.

Wonderful Tour
 By Sandi - Apr 5, 2010

Our tour was on the last day of SXSW so was challenging because of all the people! We had a GREAT time, the tour guide was wonderful and told us not only the places and history of the area but his favorite places to eat :-) We just moved to G-town and will take all our visitors on this tour so they can get just a glimpse of how great Austin is. Thanks so much!‎

Great mini tour of Austin
By high on Austin - Nov 11, 2009

I recently had out of town guests and because they would only be in town for one day I wanted to show them some of the highlights of Austin. My daughter suggested Austin Overtures. Even though I have lived in Austin for 35 years I learned a lot. Our tour guide Chris was great. I recommend it!

Highly Recommended!

Thank you Austin Overtures for taking our group on the Austin Hills and Historic Tour. Our two tour guides were absolutely great, and we could not have enjoyed ourselves more. I will be recommending your company to any groups that are headed to Austin as well as individuals and smaller groups of leisure travelers.
