Austin Overtures Inc., the comprehensive 90-minute non-stop sightseeing tour of Austin, began service February 2003.

Dow and Mary Davidson, company owners, welcomed international guests and students to Austin for many years. Austin Overtures Inc. is an extension of their long time interests in introducing visitors and newcomers to Austin.

Dow, a Texas history buff whose great-great-grandfather founded the Texas town of Leakey, selected more than 30 historical and cultural points of interest on the 30 mile tour route, providing riders with interesting and fun facts about the places and people that made Austin. He narrates the tour with his son Graham. The Fence Cutters, from the celebrated Austin music scene, provide the background music.
